[Facil] Séance d'examen LPI le samedi 14 avril 2007

Une séance d'examen pour les certifications du Linux Professional Institute
(LPI) aura lieu le 14 avril 2007 à partir de 14h, à l'occasion de l'assemblée
générale annuelle de FACIL, pour l'appropriation collective de l'informatique
libre[1], au Pavillon Thérèse Casgrain de l'UQÀM, local W-3042 (3e étage),
455, Boul. René Lévesque est (métro Berri-UQÀM), Montréal, Québec.

LPI offre une gamme de certifications Linux développées en collaboration avec
la communauté selon un processus rigoureux, ouvert et consultatif. Les
certifications LPI sont indépendantes des distributions Linux, et cherchent à
valider les compétences qui sont universellement pertinentes pour les
professionnels de Linux.[2]

Les examens disponibles pour la séance sont LPIC-101, LPIC-102, LPIC-201 et
LPIC-202, en français ou en anglais au choix. Prévoir 50$ par examen (argent
comptant seulement).

Les examens sont offerts sous forme écrite (sur papier). Les résultats seront
disponibles 6 semaines après la séance.

Pour vous inscrire, svp écrire à info at facil.qc.ca et spécifier votre choix 
d'examen (101, 102, 201 ou 202) ainsi que la langue désirée. La date limite
pour s'inscrire est le jeudi 12 avril 2007 à 18h00.

Voici ce dont vous aurez besoin d'apporter lors de la séance d'examen :

  * Un crayon au plomb (pas de stylo)
  * Deux pièces d'identité avec photo (permis de conduire, passeport, carte
    d'assurance-maladie, etc)
  * Votre identifiant LPI de 9 chiffres (LPIxxxxxxxxx). Si vous n'avez pas
    encore d'identifiant LPI, vous pouvez en créer un à l'addresse

  * 50$ en argent comptant pour couvrir les frais de l'examen.

LPI exam session on Saturday April 14 2007

An exam session for the Linux Professional Institute (LPI) will be held on
April 14 2007 at 14h, as a parallel event of the annual general assembly of
"FACIL, pour l'appropriation collective de l'informatique libre"[1], at the
Thérèse Casgrain building of UQÀM, room W-3042 (3rd floor), 455, Boul. René
Lévesque est (Berri-UQÀM metro station), Montreal, Quebec.

LPI offers a range of Linux certifications developed in collaboration with
the community using a rigorous process, open and consultative. The LPI
certifications are independent of Linux distributions, and aim to validate
skills which are universally pertinent for Linux professionals.[2]

The following exams will be available: LPIC-101, LPIC-102, LPIC-201 et
LPIC-202, in either English or French. The fee is 50$ per exam (cash only).

The exams will be in written form (on paper). The results of the exams will
be available 6 weeks after the exam session.

To register yourself, please write to info at facil.qc.ca and mention the exam
that you would like to pass (101, 102, 201 or 202) as well as the language 
in which you will pass the exam. The deadline to register is Thursday April 
12 2007 at 18h00.

Here is what you will need to bring for the exam session:

 * A lead pencil (not ink).
 * Two identity cards with photo (drivers license, health insurance card,
   passport, etc.)
 * Your 9 digit LPI identifier (LPIxxxxxxxxx). If you do not have your LPI
   identifier, you can create one at the following address: 
   https://www1.lpi.org/en/register.html
 * 50$ in cash to cover the fee of the exam.
