[MLUG] OT: ISP Provider in Montreal

I used acanac from toronto.  Yearly price is a great competitive deal.

Having moved to a new home where Bell is the distributor, I have not checked Acanac out since, but I think they still offer unlimited downloads.  Speed is about 7k-8k in our office with DSL from Acanac.  But we are 100 meters wire to the Bell Distribution panel that terminates with fibre.  Remember what Bell says (they provide dry loop),  Your speed may vary.

I have mentioned this before, Teksavvy allows people to create groups
and get additional discounts I have a group called "Tonic" which a
friend and I started a few years back anybody is welcome to join all you
have to do is mention the group name when you sign up. If they ask any
question like name Just say Nick Sklavenitis is a friend and I refered
you.

Im just not sure if they offer it still but it does not hurt to try.

I am currently paying 32.xx for 5M down 800k up and static ip. Obviously
the dry loop will add some but maybe under the group discount it might
be cheaper my limit is 300Gig a month and i run web server mail server
etc... Hell i even used to host family and friends websites and i never
passed the limit and that included distro hoping and downloading iso
every other day.

Later
