I would guess that for actual use, and fro free software, most distros 
are about equivalent linguistically, since it would be monumentally 
stupid to leave out a language when someone has already performed 
necessary translation.

There might well be differences in the paper documentation that's 
shipped with the package, though.  And it's possible that an installer 
or a live CD might not have many languages just because of space 
limitations.

That said, Debian seems to be the mother of many distros, and Ubuntu 
and Mint are popular derivatives.
