[MLUG] Hot swap external SATA

No, no raid.  Just a drive that's spending most of it's time waiting for 
data to come down the usb pipe.
If I was dealing with  one or two gigs or if all the data was being 
pulled off the network I wouldn't really care (the bottle necks would be 
else where).  But at 650GB or more, most of it local to the server I'm 
connecting to, I want to squeeze as much bandwidth as possible out of 
the connection.
