Eco quartier will take stuff but you must live in Montreal or have
access to someone who does. I have bought & dropped off at ecosys
they are pretty good. (Dorval, I checked it is on the list here
http://technoecolo.communautique.qc.ca/environment.)

I realize that it's hard for tech types to do so but it would help if
we buy less, hold on to that cell phone/pda/computer even though
there's a better one being sold now... reduce is the first of the
three Rs

I am a born again environmentalist so I am also concerned about the
ultimate disposal if anyone can vouch for any of these places for
proper disposal of stuff that would be great. What really happens to
some recycled pcs (60 minutes expose video):

There is an organization in Montreal (not reboot that's had a patchy
existence) that *refurbishes* computers & sends them to needy schools
in South america I believe, does anyone know which one that is ??
