I think MLUG would be a great organization to spearhead this sort of 
thing. I would certainly be willing to donate time/money/computers to an 
effort like this. Even at home, I know of many local non-profits who 
could use some recycled systems, and are not averse to running linux.

I don't have time to organize it though. If there existed such an 
organization here in MTL, maybe helping them would be a good way to go.
